This tastefully decorated three bedroom house is ideal for couples, a couple of couples, families, and even slightly larger groups (with the sofa-bed). Great location on a quiet lane, just a short walk from tennis courts, playground, shop, pub, café, Clutha River and outlet track. Just a 1 minute stroll away are the Riverside Park amenities where you can enjoy a soak in the spa pool in winter, swim in the pool in summer, the gym, basketball hoop, BBQ’s, community hall and kitchen. Just across the road in the other direction is the large open reserve for cricket, football, flying kites or giving the dog a run. Easy access to Cardrona, Treble Cone Ski Fields and Snow Farm (approx 30 mins drive to access roads) and all that Wanaka and Queenstown Lakes district has to offer. Numerous mountain bike tracks are nearby, including Sticky Forest and Deans Bank. The sunny open plan lounge features a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The house soaks up all day sun, has a large heat pump in the lounge, panel heater in the hallway and each of the bedrooms, and double glazing throughout - you will not be cold in this house! The dining and living areas feature outstanding mountain views. The home features an excellent separate second living area with DVD (not TV) for the kids or for those wanting some quiet time. It also has an easy to pull out sofa bed - a proper sofa bed that has its own mattress, not like the sofa beds of old. North facing open-plan living and dining space with sliding doors that flow to the fully fenced (toddler safe) outdoor area featuring the patio and deck for alfresco dining. Grab a drink, sit, relax, and soak up the views after a long day on the slopes or on the water. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern appliances. Two bedrooms feature king beds and the third has single bunk beds. Beds include electric blankets and fabulous bed linen and woollen blankets if required. There is one family bathroom with a very large shower and a separate full size bath. 3 off street parks, with convenient off street parking for the boat. Kids can scoot / cycle on the quiet and safe residential lanes. The garage has internal access, and contains a full laundry (washing machine, tub and dryer), drying racks for the ski gear, iron and ironing board. We stayed here with four teenagers, two dogs, and two adults and had a wonderful stay it has everything you need and more. I can see it is a house to suit all ages and stages, the teenagers were thoroughly entertained heading off to the gym and pool every morning while we strolled to the local cafe for a coffee and great food!!! We enjoyed the use of the bike and tennis rackets which meant we could all enjoy the wonderful bike rides alongside the lake and the tennis court just around the corner. The dogs could easily be exercised in the park across the road from the house. It was great to arrive at the house and it was just as described. We would highly recommend this holiday home!!
The best of both worlds! The cafes and restaurants of Wanaka are five minutes drive away, or you can just relax in this beautiful sunny home and enjoy the tranquility. Plenty of sunny spots to settle back with a book or two and watch the world go by. It's deceptively large with good sized bedrooms and two separate living areas. We also made good use of the outdoor furniture! The owner (Martin) was great to deal with, leaving nothing to chance and giving us plenty of information about the local amenities. We travel a lot and have stayed in numerous holiday homes over the years. This one would be among the best we have experienced.
Great place to stay! Super warm and welcoming. Awesome communal pool and spa. Quick drive to the local shops and a little further into Queenstown. Would highly recommend!
