Take the Tranz Alpine Train from Christchurch to Greymouth and hire a car to begin your South Island Adventure. While you are at the Cottage you can enjoy the sunny deck in the morning and stroll on the beach in the evening and watch the sunset. Cook your own meal or dine out in one of Hokitika's excellent restaurants. Or you can catch the latest movie at The Regent Theatre then take a walk around the corner from the Cottage after dark to view the Glow Worm Dell.
