Lovely sunny bach at Medlands with spacious section, very well set up with everything you need. Great spot for barefoot stroll to beach at the end of the lane. Jo is fantastic to deal with - great communicator and very helpful. Friendly community and fabulous beach. Heaps of variety of activities on Barrier or just chill at the bach. We'll be back!

We loved our stay at this cute cottage during our Great Barrier holiday. We stayed in May and the house had a heater to keep us warm at night. Jo was a great host and communicated really well the whole time. The cottage is walking distance to the beach and runs on solar power and gas cooking. There is a big fridge with plenty of fridge /freezer space to bring food to the island. Jo was super accommodating and even supplied a cot and high chair, nothing was ever an issue. We would definitely stay again

An excellent place to stay. The cottage was very like the family bach we used to stay in at Whangamata 30 years ago but updated with solar power and gas cooking, comfortable with a nice verandah out the front to have breakfast on in the morning sun.. A short walk down The Lane to an outstanding beach. We swam every day in crystal clear water. Communication with our host Jo was excellent. Everything was ready as she said it would be, checkin was easy and we were allowed to arrive early from our flight from North Shore. Thanks Jo for hosting us at Hapuka Cottage!
