EASY-LIVING BEACH FRONT HOLIDAY HOME ! Comfortable home away from home at the beach.... SMART TV with digitally received FreeView TV. Guests can now bring USB movies with them for viewing. No internet (WIFI) available at house but TV is internet capable if guests are using own data/internet. Oceanfront beach house with awesome deck for relaxation! Ocean views both ways down the beach, can even watch the kids playing on sand whilst enjoying a wine or cup of coffee ! (Note: restricted access over beach front dunes at the moment allowing for dune re-establishment after sand pushup repairs from storm damage). House is well setup also for the boat enthusiast & fisherman! Outside sink for the catch !!! Flat section, roadside, with plenty of room for parking/boat etc. House has 3 bedrooms, main bedroom with queen bed & ocean views from the bedroom, 2nd bedroom with double bed and 3rd bedroom with queen & single bed bunkset. Plus extra single bed, sleeps up to 6-8 people. Ideally accommodates maximum 4-5 x adults with 3 bedrooms. Extras accommodated if children - large adult groups are not suited to this house. Tidy kitchen with open plan dining/living with ocean views. Great undercover verandah area to frontside of house providing shelter on those more exposed days! Full bathroom with self contained laundry in house & extra toilet. A very comfortable beach home. Setup in beachy/bach style.

Pukehina Beach House has amazing Ocean views,and is well located in the middle of Pukehina Beach with the Estuary available for boating/kayaking/pippying/fishing/swimming etc. Pukehina Beach boasts a couple of small dairys/takeaways plus a cafe/restaurant & playgrounds for children. Also a tennis court & BMX track.

Pukehina Beach is 10mins drive from Te Puke golf course, 15mins from Te Puke for supermarkets etc. More commercial centres (eg: Fashion Island etc) of Papamoa Beach, Mt Maunganui & City of Tauranga within 20-30minutes drive. Papamoa access now made so much easier with our new toll road straight through ! Rotorua & Rotorua Lakes are also only just under 30mins drive away.

We have rented four different places at Pukehina over the last 5 or 6 years and we all agree that this is the best for situation and location. It has great outdoor areas both on the beach side and the road side. The beach feel of the house makes it fee like you are in a bach but the property has all the amenities you need to be comfortable. The deck and lounge window has the closest proximity to the beach and sea of any place we have had before. A great spot for winter and summer stays.

An absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. So helpful an accommodating to our special requests. The beach house is just that, it was warm and homely and you could feel the love. The house had a mish mash of furniture and was everything you would expect from a NZ Bach. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean and tidy, the outdoor deck was great for lazing in the sun and beach access was on our front door step. I would definitely return and book this house again. Thank you A+

Stunning location right on the ocean front hence my high rating. Step off the deck onto the pristine sand. No shelter from winds though so sitting outside comfortably depended on that factor. Amenities are dated. Bathroom shower over bath with a fixed nozzle was difficult to use plus the kitchen smelt musty. Kettle leaked and element on stove didn't work. We also had a building site next door with a new build underway. The owner was dismissive of our concerns by saying that the house was brick therefore noise wouldn't be too bad. Nail guns, little front end digger breaking up concrete paths and concreting trucks working, and so on but we decided to go out alot to avoid the noise. Water for outside tap/hose went off on day two. Maybe turned off by builders? Overall this Bach has all needed for a beach break holiday but would be improved with updating basic amenities. We were only a couple holidaying here so the Bach was big enough. Long list of cleaning instructions for our departure was rather annoying. Especially when I was wiping window ledges and realised the cobwebs and dust proceeded our staying there.

Thanks for your review on your stay in February. Apologies for my slow reply but I needed to get back to the house to check on a few things in your review - house has been busy over the summer/early autumn months & have had housekeeping going in between guests some of the time. I have personally just done a check on the house over the weekend to update myself. Stove element was working - just needed a fiddle as they get shifted slightly when cleaning, so is working fine now. We were unaware of kettle leak (unless we are told) but it was immediately replaced. Water from oceanside tap was also immediately rectified by plumber upon your departure as the builders had indeed cut a pipe ! Grrr. I have checked our shower nozzle & pressure is really good (better than a lot of seaside locations I would have thought) & perhaps the nozzle just boils down to a preference - in 6.5yrs I've not had any issues with it. Yes, our house is an older style bach/holiday home but is freshly painted & kept clean & tidy & I believe I represent it on our website listings fairly...I don't claim it to be modern. In time, I would love to be able to afford to update the kitchen & bathroom!! Though they do offer a decent standard of amenity for a bach holiday...they are not in poor function by our standards anyway. However, we don't live in a modern home either. Very subjective, I do understand. With regards to cleaning..we keep on top of this as best we can - a spring clean is done twice yearly or more often when needed....the sand & dust does enter the windowsills quite quickly so this does need to be kept on top of..I agree. The cleaning instructions are aimed to assist guests departing & arriving, to help ensure house is clean for arriving guests too. It is the most challenging part of a private holiday rental to manage as so many do not want to clean themselves but not that keen on paying housekeepers either (if they're available). I do include in our tariff the cost of housekeeping checks & runover cleans always between guest's stays to ensure standard is good. With regards to building next door....I was unaware prior to your stay that it had re-commenced. There had been a 5-6month lag in work (with nothing being done over summer) so it seems some work has now re-commenced (not over weekends) which is when most of my rentals are for, at this time of year. Apologies that this may have interfered with your enjoyment....there wasn't a lot I could do once you were there & I hadn't meant to sound dismissive if indeed I was ....happy to have you back again at a further reduced rate (our rate was a special anyway) if you'd like to return at another time.
