Self contained downstairs unit with two bedrooms, bathroom, lounge, cooking/laundry facilities, Sky TV/DVD, Wi Fi, radio/CD, sunny deck and gas BBQ. Sleepout also available. Pepe stream across the road from house and kayaks available. Ten minutes flat stroll to village/cafes/dairy. Three minutes drive to beautiful Ocean Beach.

Great little getaway! We have stayed at The Gatehouse multiple times & we absolutely love it. The host is super friendly & always helpful when needed. It is fully equipt with plenty of space in the garage to lounge about and storage or fishing rods etc. The multiple bonuses that make this place our #1 destination in Tairua is the Kayakas, BBQ, Washing machine, Dryer, the close proximity to town, the quietness & most of all afordability. Overall we highly reccomended The Gatehouse to anyone who's thinking of having a little trip away :)

Though we were only able to stay for one night we found ourselves pleasantly surprised by our stay at The Gatehouse. The owner was lovely and we found the photos don't do the space justice. It was very nice and well kept and we loved that linen was provided and the electric blankets were perfect for a winter stay.
