The Britten Stables recently featured on Grand Designs New Zealand and has a phenomenally rich history. Built in the late 1800's it was originally a horse stables, until being transformed into a unique home by Motorcycle legend John Britten. Isabelle (John's daughter) and husband Tim, are dedicated to sharing it's history and beauty with guests from all over the world who seek an experience that is completely unique, just like you. Enjoy staying in this B&B suite that is jam packed with character and charm while you are in Christchurch. Originally the Workshop space where ledgered motorcycle designer John Britten hand crafted the Britten V1000 motorcycles. Note: Their are no kitchen facilities in this room. An ideal city retreat for those wanting to relax and unwind in style.

There is a spa pool (heated all year round) in the garden that is very private and a heated swimming pool (heated between Nov - April).
Parking is available on the street side and there is always plenty.
Infants under 10 months of age that are not walking are welcome free of charge. A portable cot and high-chair can be provided.
Before your arrival we will email you details to our lock box (Key Safe). This means you can arrive anytime after checkin time, that suits you. We live onsite, so if you need anything you can just let us know. We also provide a booklet with handy local tips and a list of our favourite things to do and see in Christchurch, along with detailed house information.
