It is well set up and positioned so you feel in the middle of the countryside, yet you are very handy to Napier and the surrounding region. Good communication from the hosts as soon as a booking was made and overall a lovely holiday.

Very peaceful and romantic. Definitely would book again should we ever find ourselves back in Napier.

From Wendy Cooper. Our first guest since we took ownership.

we drove slowly up and down the windy road to Hawkhill
cottage where the air is fresher and the sky so much
bluer... we took great big gulps of it as we stepped out of
the car and the stunning view washed over us instantly
giving us a sense of peace and calm ....the cottage was
everything we wanted and hoped for and we spent days just
relaxing in the sunshine with restful nights after watching
the clouds change a thousand different colours till they
faded away and then the lights of the city put on its show
and twinkled away all night just to reassure us there was a
greater world out there .....the bird life calling us awake
in the mornings and sometimes the trees sang wind songs to
us.....we did venture out but only to a hurried return as we
didn't want to miss out on all that was on offer at the
cottage as we soaked in its atmosphere.....we left with a
renewed sense of self feeling peaceful and calm and ready to
face the world again...and as we turned to have one last
look we did not say goodbye instead we said see you later!!!
