We had a lovely stay, the house was fabulous, nice and roomy, and extremely well equipped. Turned out we needed the heating (in Oct!?), the gas fire was super cosy and having heaters in all the bedrooms was great. Was also good to have full use of the garage. Would definitely recommend this property and we would be keen to stay again!

Great house, it was perfect for us as a family. The house was well laid out and had everything we needed. Would happily recommend this property to friends.

Very nice well maintained property with good range of chattels to use. My only suggestions would be to offer wifi & install air conditioning as was particularly hot when we stayed.

Thanks for your wonderful comments about our Kinloch property. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay & the horse was an added bonus!
A fantastic property, so incredibly well appointed - it was like a Kiwi home away from home. We have rented many holiday properties and many lack in the day to day amenities - not this property, the kitchen was fantastic! The house is really spacious as are the grounds. Despite being on the main road into town you did not feel that this was the case due to the rural outlook at the front of the property - the added bonus being the horses which entertained our horse mad 7yr old no end.

A short stroll sees you at the marina and general store so nothing is too far away.

Our big find this trip was Honeymooners Bay (Kotukutuku?), absoluley stunning and a really simple easy bush walk up to the waterfall which is hidden by the native bush that comes right down to the beach in the bay.

We would recommend 'Hole-in-one' to all, a fantastic home away from home.

This house is awesome. We rent houses for holidays all over the world and this is one of the best equipped and most comfortable we have come across. All beds, bedding, towels and furniture are of the highest quality. The extras made it: washing powder, cleaning products, dishwasher powder, shower gels etc etc. Kitchen was very well equipped with lots of plates, mugs, glasses and even the knives were sharp (that is rare!). Great location, very quiet, gorgeous outlook, very friendly neighbours and the Crouton Cafe serve up the best hot chocolates we have ever had. We would highly recommend this house. We were here for 11 nights in Nov/Dec 2009 so got to know the area well. Unfortunately, the lakeside restaurant "Tipsy Trout" is not worth going to. Lovely people but the food was awful. Also don't bother renting kayaks from the lakefront shop. The kayaks were filthy, covered in mould, ripped padded seats and the man in the shop was rude. Buy local produce and cook it up yourself in the fabulous kitchen at the house! Best fish & chips we ever had were at Central Fry, in Rifle Range Road, at Taupo. Very cheap and absolutely beautiful, especially driving back down to the lake and eating them there. Hope you have as good a time as we did!

Family of six had a week at Hole in One- Kinloch. It really had the wow factor for us, plenty of space, views and comfort- handy for all of Taupo's attraction. We will definitly be back!
