Waimoana is truly a wonderful place for a holiday, the huge house is an adventure all on its own! With beautiful character and décor that is a pleasant enough mix of old and new, we all felt very comfortable, and did I mention there is oodles of room!. The beach is lovely for walks and exploring, not really a swimming beach (go down to Flat Point), but that is not a concern as the pool is fab and lovely and warm. There are large gardens to get lost in, a tennis court fully equipped with rackets and balls, the garage has a good selection of bikes and the house has an enormous selection of games and books for young and old alike. There is even a chest of dress ups and an XL sized kids play room. Don't let the drive there put you off, the view at the end of your journey makes it worthwhile, absolutely breath taking. With plenty to do we were not at all disappointed in our stay, and everyone wished we could stay longer. Must do's on your stay, take the kids on the shorter walk to Honeycomb light (halfway to Honeycomb rock) to see the seals colony, we saw lots of pups playing, very cute. There was even honeycomb rock here as well that the kids could climb, so didn't need to go any further. Louise the owner was very helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Only Cons - the pool fencing and gates need to be upgraded to current standards, and the grounds are overdue for some TLC. Other than that we would happily stay again.

Fantastic Home to getaway for a few days for peace and quiet. Celebrated a 60th birthday with extended family and the home provided more than we could ask for! Fantastic tennis court, beautiful views and nice swimming pool. Highly recommend
