We stayed here for a weekend and can’t speak highly enough of the bach! The kitchen is very well appointed, the lounge is spacious and bright with a warm fireplace. There is a balcony at the rear of the house which is situated above and looks over a private jungle, giving you the feeling of being in a tree house! Beyond the jungle are views of the ocean back towards Whangaparoa. We enjoyed lazing in the hammock in the shade out of the hot sun, reading books from the well stocked bookshelves. The front yard is gorgeous and sun drenched in the afternoon. Perfect for wine and cheese at the picnic table and for sun bathing on the grass. The garden is lovely especially with the smell of roses wafting across the yard in the breeze. Plenty of trees and hedges for privacy while still revealing views up the inlet to the east. It is an easy stroll to the beach and regional park - where we saw a plethora of native birds - including many wood pigeons and tui. Lovely bay and island you can walk out to at low tide. We were lucky enough to encounter bio phosphorescence at night!

We really enjoyed our long weekend with extended family at Scotts Landing Kiwi Bach. The view of the sea from the house is lovely and we enjoyed being able to have the Masport fire on when the weather turned cold and wet. There are lots of birds around and fantails come and enjoy the bird bath on the corner of the deck.
