About this Holiday House

Beautiful two-story architecturally designed top-end fit-out cedar home located at the southern end of Medlands Beach. Set in private native bush the place has amazing unobstructed North-facing 270 degree views over Medlands beach, bay and mountains beyond. Just a few minutes walk to spectacular Medlands beach via road or a bush track. The main house is a two story 140 square meter structure with two bedrooms down stairs surrounded by native bush. Able to sleep a maximum of 5 the bedrooms are made up of a master with a double bed and one single including an en-suite. The second bedroom has a double bed with wardrobe and a bathroom located across the hallway. Upstairs is the main open-plan lounge and kitchen offering superb sea views. The kitchen has a large fridge freezer with gas stove and hobs. Pedestrian access via foot bridge (from camp ground) across stream and then an eight minute walk to the house. Vehicle access to all houses requires crossing of this Oruawharo tidal stream at low tide!!! A 4WD vehicle is required, but what I include is a 4x4 Toyota Hilux on opposite side of foot bridge to be used free of change (exclusively on this side only) during your entire stay for transporting passengers and luggage to the house. There's a meet and greet at the food bridge to exchange car keys and unlock the house. World class surfing, fishing and diving on the door step. The southern end of Medlands beach is suitable for boat launching. Also available is a 40 square meter studio dwelling with one double bed and two singles with en-suite that increases your guest capacity to a total of eight for an extra $250/night flat rate. Please note that these listed rates are for the main house only, the photos are clearly labeled main house and studio, the studio is $250 extra for larger groups for the entire complex. The entire complex is eco friendly with drinkable rain catchment water and solar panels providing all electrical power. All meals are self-catered therefore if you want specialty items it is suggested you bring these with you to the island although there are shops and cafes located at Claris, Tryphena and Port Fitzroy if you have your own transport.

Loved our stay here, the house is beautiful, very clean and the communication with Anthony was excellent. Amazing views of the beach. Best house I've stayed at in a long time!

Great house modern and spacious with amazing views. Well stocked with everything needed for our stay. Beds were very comfortable and all linens and towels were good quality. Short walk to the beach and plenty of board games & dvds for wet days. Anthony was great to deal with. Would def recommend a stay here.

Great spot above Medlands Beach just a 8 minute walk to the car and beach. Enjoyed the walk up/down the hill each day. The property was very well equipped and had stunning views. Large indoor sofa and outdoor dining table for getting the views. We rented a car from Shoal and arrived by air (check luggage weight restrictions). Packed a few provisions from home and the rest we bought at the store at Claris. Fresh fruit and veg available too. Convenient but expensive as expected. Chris the property 'man on the spot' met us at the foot bridge near the Medlands camping ground on the first day and drove us and our gear in a 4 wheel drive vehicle based on the other side of the stream to the holiday home. Met us on our last day and transported us down the hill again. Helpful, friendly introduction to the island thanks to Chris. Need to be careful with water use and excellent recycling stations about the island but the camp is closest. No access to a washing machine didn't worry us. We argued with the mossies a bit at night as a hot few days neccessitated open windows. Found the situation of the home perfect for us. We were a family of adults and enjoyed the walks on the island and the beautiful bays. We all relaxed very quickly. How could you not! Excellent communication with the owner.
