We have stayed in many Holiday Homes and this would be our favourite by far! It had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with quality cutlery, crockery and cookware. Modern stove and fridge/freezer. Plenty of warm bedding. 2 fires that did a great job of heating the whole house - which was great as it was very cold when we arrived. Large lovely gardens to wander and play in.

Snowdon Lodge is simply wonderful and beautiful. As others have said the pictures don't do it justice. The location with views to the Alps and its great situation on the farm with views from every window make you quiet and impressed. We were four couples and 6 children under five yrs old. The lodge was spacious enough for all of us, while still homey with the authentic large open fireplace and stylish furniture. The bedrooms are spacious with quality linen. The kitchen is well supplied. The wrap around verandah gives protection from sun and rain and the beautiful native gardens with well kept lawns are a safe place for the kids to play around and for a volleyball game for the adults. There were a lot of toys in and outside and otherwise the pig Wilburn, the sheep, the cattle, the Californian quale give entertainment. Bellbird song fills the air. During the day we had a drive up the farm and looked at the sheep being drafted. We enjoyed the BBQ and the hot tub under the clear Canterbury sky. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Certainly a place to visit again.

The photos do not do this amazing house justice! We were 11 adults and three kids ranging from 60 to 3 – the SPACE this house offers is fantastic. Everyone had room to move and did not get under each others feet and the bonus of the mezzanine area offered a bolthole for anyone who needed! It is so child friendly, the abundance of indoor and outdoor toys, the gorgeous lambs, handsome Wilbur - the list goes on. The fridge is slightly larger than a domestic fridge so has enough room for everyones contributions. The walk in pantry is a great area for dumping clutter and the endless seating, bean bags and firewood means the two fires keep the house unbelievably warm whilst everyone could comfortably relax either indoors or out. Crockery, glasses, cups and utensils galore meant easy effortless mealtimes. Could not recommend this more highly especially as the hosts of this beautiful home, Annabel and Roy were so welcoming. Sorry but we will be back!
