Lovely welcome with fresh fruit, milk in the fridge and clear instructions on how to access the property. Wonderfully quiet area of Auckland and only a short drive to the CBD. A real treat to stay here. The house is welcoming with a gas fire in living room and a heat pump above the stairs. The weekend we stayed was cooler and rainy so we could have done with some heating in the bedrooms. We'd love to stay again!

Major issues with the kitchen: Oven broken and dirty. Dishwasher – top drawer did not work properly, bottom drawer filter was clogged with paper towels and rotting food. Crockery, cutlery, glasses and saucepans found wet and dirty in cupboards/drawers. Everything we used had to be washed first. Table mats and runner were filthy. Communication with owner very poor. I sent 3 emails prior to arrival – none were answered. Got a response after I phoned her. Entire ground floor, including outside entertaining area, needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Its a pity I have to write a review like this as the house has potential to be a great place to stay.

The house was dirty, we couldnt get in until after dark and beds are all rock hard. Would not stay again
