From arrival to departure my experience at JJ's Retreat was fantastic, and I'm really looking forward to my next visit. I stayed 2 nights in one of the brand new modern villa's, surrounded by the lush tropical gardens landscaped by the host James. If you want a peaceful, tranquil place to relax, these villas are perfect. They are situated inland, so no road noise. The villas are architecturally designed to stay cool, so I slept very well. There is also a fan if you need it. No mosquitos can bug you - all windows and doors are screened. The villas are also very safe and secure. What I loved most about my stay was the service from the hosts James and Vanessa who really welcome you. It is all the small details in the rooms - handmade furniture by James, a fresh filtered water cooler, beautiful cook island flowers in the room, a handy blender for fresh fruit smoothies and plunger coffee. Small details like these have been carefully arranged and they make your stay extra special. Rarotonga is what you make of it - you can have a fun filled holiday experiencing all the activities the island has to offer, or you can sit back and enjoy 'island time'. Either way, returning back to JJ's retreat to watch the sun set over the mountains was unforgettable. I'm looking forward to staying here again in the near future and would recommend JJ's Retreat to all my friends and family.
