We are a Guest house / B&B located two minutes walk from the lake and Don Rowlands centre, licenced Podium Cafe, boat ramp etc. You cannot get closer. The accommodation is an entire wing of our house that has two bedrooms with ensuites and its own lounge area and kitchenette which opens on to a deck with a bbq.. This a superb place to stay with wonderfully welcoming hosts. Lovely location, peaceful and tranquil. Tastefully furnished place which is spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the breakfast yummies too. Looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks.

Nearby attractions & activities

Just down the driveway to the Don Rowlands centre (weddings conferences etc), Licenced Cafe, NZ rowing and canoeing high performance centres, 10 minute drive to the Avantidrome (Or ride or walk the Te Awa track), 18 minute drive to NZ national agricultural field days at Mystery Creek, Hobbiton about 20 minutes, close to Sarnia park and the Red Barn (weddings etc). Short drive to Maungatautari Ecological reserve. Also the lake is right there for waterskiing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking ,power boat racing, sailing etc. Around the lake we have three waterski clubs, yacht club, boatshed kayak hire and the boat shed cafe. Also lots of birdlife.
