About this Holiday House
Ideal location in stunning Onemana. Less than a 100 metres and you’ll have sand between your toes. Less than a hundred metres and you’ll have a coffee in your hand at the café/restaurant or an ice cream at the local shop.
Traditional kiwi bach, spread across three floors. Basement/garage on the ground floor (locked off and only accessible to owner). Kitchen, lounge, bathroom, two bedrooms (one with queen, one with two singles) and wrap around balcony with amazing ocean views on middle floor. Also bbq area and loungers on the back deck. Master bedroom and ensuite on top floor with great views from your bed. Also small single room.
Great getaway for couples and families or a small group of friends. The bach is a wooden A frame, older in style and with simple fittings but the feeling and character of a cozy wooden spot! Great amounts of natural light and open plan kitchen/lounge/balcony. There is Spark, Vodafone and 2Degrees coverage but it is in certain patches around the house.
We’ve been coming to Onemana for over 15 years and it’s one of our favourite spots. Put your feet up and relax whilst enjoying the stunning surroundings or discover many coastal walks we have locally.
There’s an expansive childrens’ playground, free public tennis courts and a petanque arena on the beach reserve so have a hit whilst watching the waves roll in (there’s 2 tennis racquets and a petanque set available). Or perhaps you’d rather have a dip in the ocean (boogie boards available if you’d like to use those) or a fish off the rocks or surf cast off the beach (there’s great local fishing). The main beach is patrolled by surf lifesavers during peak summer periods or you can explore the nearby secluded beaches for a more private setting.
If you want a change from the relaxing Onemana environment, Whangamata is less than a 10 minute drive away. With a New World (supermarket), movie theatre, numerous cafes/bars, shops for retail therapy and events and concerts there’s a bit of something for everyone. Or perhaps you’re wanting an easy day excursion to the beautiful Cathedral Cove or to dig some natural hotpools at Hotwater beach. Also nearby is the Opoutere bird sanctuary (next bay along the coast north), with other day trip options to Tairua, the Pauanui waterways, Whitianga and the Coromandel township.
Onemana is approximately two hours to Auckland, an hour and a half from Hamilton and about an hour and a quarter from Tauranga.
We do ask that you please look after our bach and belongings. Please leave it as you found it, so that the next guests may also enjoy their stay. For the enjoyment of other guests, the bach is strictly no smoking.
We want you to enjoy our bach and Onemana as much as we do so please email us if there is anything that we can do to help you enjoy your stay!
