About this Holiday House

this is our bach located lakeside at Lake mahinerangi. Consisting of 2 bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with a bunk that sleep 3 in a 1 single one double configuration. Also a double divan in the lounge.. shower, kitchen ,lounge with yunka multi fuel, tv, dvd ( selection of DVD movies. freeview . Large Bar b que on veranda that over looks the lake and islands. 10ft aluminium dinghy completes this quintessential getaway bach. Trout and perch are caught in the lake, as well as yabbies'( fresh water crayfish. Fishing gear, yabbie traps and an outboard motor are available for hire by prior arrangement. Fishing for trout and perch requires a license. The area is known for its gold mining history, the windfarm and hiking through the foresty. Central to Lawrence, Middlemarch, Outram and only 50mins from the heart of Dunedin.

a kiwi crib or bach.. lakeside with views over the lake, located within a fishing village. fish (trout and perch), tramp, boat or just relax . Take the dinghy and row out to the islands and explore or camp out with the kids. Light the yunka in winter and play in the snow.

only 45 mins from Dunedin , 25 to outram and lawrence . visit the wind farm, hike the extensive pine forest. bike to the waipori dam. check out the mining area of lawrence and waipoi.

So enjoyed this mahinarangi Bach And alll that Bonnie doon experience had to offer very traditional Bach but with a few more modern conveniences and so appreciated having the bed made up and ready for us ..fire was amazing and it was an absolute privilege to be right next to the lake and we loved the village =) I am looking forward to another visit !
