Just 10 minutes from shops but a world away from the stress of city life! With rural views and extensive lawns, you may choose to just relax and read or to go out and explore the many attractions Tauranga has on offer. There is plunger coffee, a range of teas and homemade biscuits. The kitchen has a small fridge with freezer compartment, and as well as microwave and toaster, there is a double hot plate and electric frying pan, and mini benchtop oven. Help yourself to fruit on the trees. Your hosts are local and know Tauranga well. We have lived in France and speak French sufficiently for conversation. We live next door, but will not interrupt your holiday unless you require anything, and you will be able to text us at any time. Our aim is for you to have a memorable, refreshing stay! This studio apartment is fully self-contained with it's own entrance and has space for parking maximum of two cars a few metres away. Guests need a car, as the nearest bus stop is 1 km away. A Four Square Foodmarket is just 3 km away.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Tauranga is a wonderful location for people who enjoy sport, recreation and the natural beauty of this amazing place. You are never far from the sea, so if you are keen on swimming, kayaking, surfing, running, walking or photography, it’s a great place for a holiday. The walking tracks to the top of Mount Maunganui (Mauao) give spectacular views over the Bay of Plenty, and afterwards soak in the unique hot salt water pools at the base of Mauao. There are many boutique shops at the Mount as well as Bayfair Shopping Centre. The Crossing Shopping Centre is only 12 minutes away. Temperatures are mild, so most days you can get out and enjoy the great outdoors. In winter there are hot pools to enjoy at Welcome Bay (10 min drive). There are cafes and restaurants to suit everyone. McLaren’s Falls Park is 20 mins drive, and Papamoa Hills is a great place to walk or run. There are cycling tracks and for a variety of activities, the TECT Park is 40 mins away. Rotorua with its geysers and boiling mud pools is less than an hour's drive. Whakatane is just over an hour away. Hobbiton is 45 minutes away.

Wow! what a beautiful treat for anyone looking for a place of their own to stay while visiting Tauranga! We spent 5 nights here and it was bliss. The property owners are wonderful, the setting is sensational, price is affordable, and location is conveniently close to town. You have everything you need and there are lovely little treats to start you off (breakfast items, fresh homemade loaf of bread & toiletries). We highly recommend staying at this idyllic studio retreat. It's perfect.

It was my partners birthday, when we arrived she had made him a cake ngawww was so nice of her to do that for us. Very lovely place, the owner made us lots of yummy food we couldn’t finish it all! Very lovely place to stay, we definitely enjoyed our time there! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away to some were quiet !!

Lovely peaceful location with all the mod cons. Great hosts with plenty of extras such as home baked bread/biscuits and assorted jams . With views over Tauranga Harbour, we enjoyed watching the coming and going’s of the cruise liners.

Breakfast supplies are included, and tea, coffee, and home baking.
No cleaning fee has been added, so guests are expected to clean reasonably well and do dishes before leaving. We will do a thorough clean afterwards.
Check in from 3pm and check out 11am, but can be flexible, depending on guests booked either side of your booking.
Note: This is rural broadband internet and can be slow and occasionally cut out, sorry! Tell us if this happens. Fibre expected some time in 2022!
