This unique and inspiring EcoLodge is situated within 50 acres of QEII Covenanted native forest adjacent to the Peel Forest Park.
Special features of the Eco Lodge include solar electricity and water heating, wood stove and gas cooking,wood fired Pizza Oven, log fire, a grey-water wetland, timber lining and a large decking with shade-sail. Perfect for groups and families that enjoy the outdoors or for those who just want to get away for some peace and quiet. Also great as a venue for corporate groups for team building/meetings.
The Lodge is accessed via a 5 minute walk through our beautiful bush. There is also a four wheel drive track that takes you right to the lodge and can be used by arrangement.

The EcoLodge is operated by Peel Forest Outdoor Centre. By prior arrangement we also offer rafting, kayaking, ropes course and other activities.

The EcoLodge has a real sense of isolation yet is only a few minutes drive from the local Peel Forest Bar & Cafe. Great views of Mt Peel and the surrounding scenic reserve. Easy access to the new Te Kahui Kaupeka Conservation Park at the head of the Rangitata Valley.

Beautiful, sheltered spot in the bush. Wonderful birds and we enjoyed the bush walks out from the lodge. Great spot for a group and worked really well for our group of couples and families with kids (especially the wood stove and the pizza oven and separate bedrooms off the big decks around the lodge). Manager really friendly and helpful. We loved that it was like a proper tramping hut with easy access, way more privacy and great facilities. An especially awesome experience for the kids.

Great spot for a get away with a group, plenty of room for the kids to run riot outside. Great fun cooking on wood fired stove and pizza oven and lots of fire wood for cold nights. Happily recommend to anyone.
