About this Holiday House

This purpose built holiday cottage has recently undergone a major transformation to bring you a stunning holiday home. It is set in the bush on the hill above Coopers Beach with easy access to the beach below. Offering 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms this very comfortable house offers stylish accommodation but in a very relaxed atmosphere. The views are everywhere and the house is very quiet and private. Inside the huge open plan living dining area open to the wrap around deck offering fantastic indoor outdoor flow. 2 minutes walk to the beach 10 minutes walk to the shops at Coopers Beach or 15 minutes to the village of Mangonui with its fantastic cafes and boutique shops. Paua Shell Beach House is the perfect spot to base yourself in in to explore the beautiful Doubtless Bay area, providing you can pull yourself away from the stunning views at home!

A great all season base for exploring the beautiful Far North. Enjoy a day trip to Cape Reinga (the northern most tip of New Zealand) and 90 Mile Beach (a must do is a sand-dune buggy ride!) Visit historic sites and the ancient Kauri kingdom. Charter a boat or fish from the beach, wharf or rocks. Gather tua tua (shellfish) from the beach at low tide. Watch the dolphins, wander the beach, wet your feet, swim or simply enjoy the wonderful sea air! A great get away feel at this Coopers Beach bach. National & international visitors have enjoyed their holidays at this coastal paradise. Two airports within 45mins drive, which link to Auckland Airport.

Wow, such a lovely home. From the moment you walk in it feels like home. With amazing views, the house has everything you need. Lovely bed and linen, very clean and tidy. There is a path a few houses down to get to the beach which is a 4 min walk but very steep getting back up. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous location and I would absolutely recommend this holiday home. Great views overlooking the bay, clean, tidy and with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and a quick 2min walk down to the beach. From Christchurch and our first visit to the Far North, eight nights was not enough and wished we had booked for longer. Will be returning to Coopers Beach. (if only you weren’t fuller booked for Feb 2022☹)

A beautiful house with stunning views of the beach and Doubtless Bay, tucked in amongst native trees and abundant bird life. Loved having two bathrooms. Be aware that the access is tricky, though - a steep slope of loose metal or steep steps down to the house. Lovely attention to detail inside.
