It has been an absolute pleasure staying at the Bothy. Jen (host) has been wonderful to deal with, her email responses are always quick and prompt.

The house is beautiful inside and has beautiful views and Jen was very caring and generous leaving snacks and breakfast things for us in the pantry and fridge and even left the heaters on for us to keep the room warm when we returned late from our day trips which was very much appreciated by all us girls :)

We could not have asked for a better host.

Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and would love to stay at the Bothy again!! :)

I am very grateful to have had the experience of this lovely abode and the views are as fantastic as the host. It is a great place to stay, and Jen and her family will make you feel at home. Her cooking is suburb as well. The Bed is so comfortable that I had trouble getting up in the morning...

I strongly recomend to stay here.

If you need somewhere beautiful to stay in Christchurch, LOOK NO FURTHER! The Bothy is truly gorgeous - Jen and her wonderful family have thought of absolutely everything to make for a comfortable stay. It is 5-star, and we're travellers who have been all over the world. Very comfortable bed, pillows and duvet, fantastic kitchen and lounge area, and superb views. The fact little amenities of everyday life are included in such a thoughtful way make everything so pleasant and easy. Jen even found us a cot! We will be back, and highly recommending it to everyone. Thanks again, see you soon! james , Monaco france
