About this Holiday House

Spectacular sea views from the deck, framed by towering hills and D'Urville Island, stretch all the way out to Cook Straight on a clear day. Sunrise is especially stunning and rewards the early riser. Situated in historical French Pass, only a minute's walk to the beach. Our 2 bedroom holiday home is well lit, with open plan living. Floor to ceiling windows maximize views and sunlight in the lounge and master bedroom. The new kitchen also has been fitted with gas hobs. Private and quiet, the hillside location gives panoramic views of the entire bay. BOAT MOORING AVAILALE ON REQUEST.

Special Amenities

Excellent fishing at French Pass and neighboring D'Urville Island. You can also try your luck from the rocks or hire a dingy and catch blue cod with just a short row from the beach.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Throw a fishing line off the jetty, or jump off for a refreshing swim in the clear emerald water. Dolphins regularly visit the bay during the summer, coming so close you can take pictures of them from the shore. Two great walking tracks offering native bush and wild life, along with a challenging but rewarding climb over neighboring farmland with even more amazing views from the top of the hills.

Good compact house beds and bunks are comfortable overall a enjoyable stay just one minor thing the shower rose could be higher for tall people will definitely be keen to return again

Great guy to deal with, awesome views, for a family of four, perfect. Get instructions for the shower though! Driveway is a challenge for a boat trailer. Biggest problem is that the “village” has some serious issues with access. The road in is “interesting” but made really dangerous by locals driving extremely fast and inconsiderately. Had at least four near misses on the road with farm/fishing types on the road. Not much room to manoeuvre if you’re towing a decent size boat. Luckily we had a pilot vehicle and radios! Parking vehicles and boat trailers in the village is a nightmare at weekends and holidays with inconsiderate people who have a very over developed sense of entitlement! DoC camping ground is contributing to the problem by not providing “customer” boat parking on their site. They have to park in the non-DoC, public area. Best to go off-peak if you can! Would go again! Thanks Francis
