Only a few minutes’ drive or walk to Howick Village (and Historical Village), lots of fine cuisine restaurants, cafes and bars. There is a little art cinema, Monterey cinema, with it’s cafe offering exquisite food and beverage selection. So you can enjoy your drink while watching your film. If you enjoy outdoor activity, there are local beaches, golf courses, Lloyd Elsmore Park and swimming pools. There is a ferry available to Auckland CBD and waiheke island in Halfmoon bay. All can be reached in just 10 minutes. 30min drive to Auckland and Auckland Airport; there are a few local Supermarkets nearby, one in Howick Village and two in Highland Park shopping centre. A little further away, you can drive to Botany Shopping Centre for all your shopping needs which is only 10 minutes drive away!

We stayed at The Flaghouse for a week in February 2019 during our three month's visit to NZ. Great private location an easy short walk from Howick, ideal for access to Auckland. Comfortable, neat and tidy apartment and a splendid base-camp for our needs. Our hostess Joan was most helpful and hospitable (building works only a minor glitch). Many thanks for a pleasurable stay. Highly recommended for short breaks to all visitors wanting easy access to the Eastern environs of Manukau.
