Waireka Apartment was perfect for us. We only stayed one night in Ohakune to visit Mt Tongariro National Park and to break up a long drive back from Wellington to Auckland. The hosts were extremely helpful and provided a warm friendly welcome. The property had a good location within easy walking distance from town, was nice and private, self-contained, clean and comfortable, and had a lovely kitchen, bathroom, towels and linen. The spa pool also provided an excellent way to relax in the evening. Delicious freshly baked homemade bread and cereals for breakfast were very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to stay in a quiet area. Clean and well equipped. Richard was very friendly and left us a great loaf of homemade bread which was very welcome as we were badly delayed. We were sad that our stay was so short.
