A wonderful relaxing and peaceful country cottage with a stream, gardens and abundant bird life.
There are two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and an open fire in the living room.
Perfect for honeymooners, small families and well behaved dogs. The path over the stream leads to an outdoor bath. If you feel like a walk, up the hill is our vineyard and through the gate, join the walk around the stunning valley on Woodills Track.
All linen provided.
The cottage is only 2 minutes by car from Akaroa township.
We also have an open fire in the living area with firewood provided.
Cleaning cost included.

This has to be one of the best places to stay for a totally peaceful, private experience along with a great selection of walks you come away from here totally refreshed. We loved it and highly recommended it to anyone that wants to 'get away from it all' but be close enough to a great selection of restaurants and cafes.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Comfortable and welcoming, has a lovely "feel" to it. Beautiful stream running past, stunning stained glass window. Beautiful dawn chorus. Wonderful stay and that was even with one of the days being wet and miserable. So romantic that got engaged that weekend. Hopefully will be back in the not too distant future!

My husband and I spent two nights at Kokopu Cottage with our two young boys. It was beautiful, rustic and romantic (would have been more romantic without the boys). The grounds were gorgeous and having breakfast at the picnic table whilst the birds sang and the stream tickled was amazing. We found the bath topped it off. It was nice to spend time in Akaroa and yet be able to whip back to the retreat and the bush in under 5 mins. If you are in need of 'Time out" this is ths spot.

I would thoroughly recommend Kokopu Cottage to anyone wanting a romantic and relaxing getaway destination. The quaint little cottage, which is beautiful on the outside, is cosy and inviting on the inside, with an open fire. The highlight of our stay was the outdoor bath in the native forest-like garden under the stars! Complete with a tranquil stream and garden out the back of the property, you feel like you are staying in your very own private hideaway. Perfect for a couple wanting quite time away together or for a family or group of friends wanting a holiday. Can't wait until our next visit!

This was a wonderful place to stay, the photos do not do it justice! We had a much needed break from the City with our dog and the hosts were wonderful (turning up with kindling and had heaters ready when we arrived)
