This holiday home is positioned right on the beachfront with no road between you and the beach. Just walk across the lawn and down on to the sand. The established and sheltered gardens provide protection from the wind. This north facing house is very warm and sunny with an open plan and plenty of deck space for great indoor / outdoor living. The modern kitchen has everything you need to prepare a feast, and yes there’s a dishwasher. A gas BBQ and outdoor dining furniture is provided. If you're feeling adventurous there is a wood fired Argentinean grill so you can cook outdoors. This house is set up for easy family living and makes it a great beach holiday house. There is a bathroom inside with a shower and toilet, and a more basic separate shower and toilet in the garage. There is off road parking available, plus there is room to park a boat. There is Freeview TV, fibre wifi, chromecast, plenty of DVDs and a great stereo with indoor and outdoor speakers. The patio has an outdoor fire while in the garden there is a cute reading room with heaps of board games, puzzles and books to keep you and the kids occupied if the weather doesn't co-operate with your holiday plans! There is an old pool table, three adult and two smaller bikes, two sit-on kayaks, two surf skis, a croquet set for the front lawn, and tennis racquets so you can visit the local court. In winter the house is cosy warm with a woodburner in the lounge and oil column heaters in every bedroom. Pohara Beach has a good selection of restaurants and cafes. We're 500m from the Pohara Store and Nikau Cafe, Molly B's is even closer. Local entertainment includes: mini-golf, blokarts, horse rides, tennis courts, and a bowling green. There is even a 9 hole golf course that is within walking distance. Plus of course those evening strolls along the beach! If you are bringing a boat, it's just a few minutes around the corner to the Tarakohe launching ramp, and only 8kms back to Takaka for stocking up on fuel and food. This holiday home is very suitable for a family holiday, as the section and beach are very safe. However we do not allow pets or smoking.
