My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. We were travelling down the West Coast and only needed a place for one night, but what a treat!!! I love, love, LOVED it!!!! The private villa is buried amongst the shrubs and trees. There are beautiful big windows that let the light in and that provides a lovely view of the ocean. From the shower you can also see the sea. The kitchen is very basic, with not even a toaster or microwave, but regardless of that I really loved my stay. Shelly was a lovely host. She made us the most stunning breakfast, and not even my husband could finish it (that's saying a lot). I have food intolerances and she kindly offered to go to town to source ingredients that i could eat.

We stayed in the forest house while heading south to Fox Glacier. We love the holiday house very much. I miscalculated the journey and resulted reaching at the holiday house late at aroun 10-11pm. When we woke up in the morning, all of us were amazed by the beautiful scenery and flowers around the house. It is a great experience for us (who stay in the city, Singapore). We only know of such a beautify forest house in movies and childhood story books, we really can’t believe that we were staying in it. It is a great experience. If we were to visit New Zealand again, we will definitely visit the holiday house again.

This place is a real pleasure! Perfect to truly relax in. Shelley has taken care of everything- from a delicious home cooked meal, to bathrobes, to orange juice in the fridge, to several vases of fresh flowers. The whole place was spotless also. Everything was perfect and I loved that we were totally on our own in the bush. The best type of accommodation I can imagine really!
