The shelves are stacked with games, books (including vintage sets of Agatha Christie and Dick Francis), toys for the kids and a radio. The garage has boogie boards,sand and fishing toys, boules and croquet, and the most novel beer fridge in town. Outdoor shower, solar powered (that's a hose, in the sun) for rinsing off, and plenty of room on the double section to fit both cars and the essential cricket games. Park the car and jump on the two old-fashioned bicycles to pedal around town (plus one kid's bike). Cross the road to the beach, wander 100 m to the Surf Club or Blackie's coffee. Head over to the estuary for quiet paddle. It's the perfect set up for two families with small kids, but equally cosy for winter weekends for two. The slice of history is waiting for future memories.....
