About this Holiday House

A Casual, spacious, comfortable 1910 character NZ Villa. Due to be relocated off site April 2024. Family accommodation - child & pet friendly. Large groups welcome. Sleeps 9 in beds -(more if using spare kids mattresses and cots) Fully furnished incl linen. Fully fenced . Off street parking x 4. On Victory Square - oak tree lined children's playground /sports- park. Situated on The Great Taste Cycle Trail - Doors away from Victory Village: cafe/bar, quality fast food, Greengrocer, post, mini-market, chemist & salon. 7 min walk from Countdown & The Warehouse. 12 min walk from CBD Trafalgar St, Art Galleries, bars, cafe, shops and restaurants. Urban Bus stop opposite = easy access to beaches and Richmond. Backpacker style house but you get exclusive use. $120 cleaning fee applies to all bookings. $negotiable p.w for short term low season rentals over 1 month. Although retained as a feature of this old character Villa - open Fires are not permitted in this part of town. Alternative heating supplied. BEDS = 2 queen beds 1 king. 2 king singles plus 1 single trundler bed. and 2 kid size single mattresses. 1 portacot. NB we allow guests with well behaved pets.

Good: Had good range of facilities, location was reasonably close to town with shops nearby. Everything you needed was there. The place was pretty rustic though with some furnishings uncomfortable.. We stayed there because the owners allowed pets. Bad: One room smelled of cat urine or something. You couldn't have slept in it. There was no internet initially despite being advertised as connected, although the owners did remedy this after a few days. The place didn't seem to have been cleaned very well. Yes the house was supposed to be moved off site after our stay but for $260 a day I think you're entitled to a little better than what was on offer. Three stars was probably generous.

This was a great place to stay. Clean, spacious with all the amenities needed for an easy relaxed trip to Nelson. Easy walk to the center of town and shops and playground right next door. Friendly host. Would recommend.

Great Location, lovely house had everything we needed, nice and peaceful in the evenings was lovely to have the door open and listing to the people in the park. Was central to everything which was great! supermarkets close by bonus nice little shopping are within walking distance. Nice and tidy and having to bathrooms was a bonus. We really felt at home here! Will surely stay again!
