Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Host very friendly and welcoming leaving gift of snacks and milk. House warm to come back to in evenings. Thank you.

The accommodation was a disappointment. The house was run down, cluttered and in some places dirty. Ripped sofas covered with sheets, unmaintained gardens with mouldy bales of straw and despite the assured tranquility on the website the loose screeching flooring, creaking wooden beams and the birds nesting in the eaves made a peaceful nights sleep completely impossible. The only good part about it was the views.

This bach totally defines "hidden gem". Who knew such a beautiful spot was only 16 km from Timaru? A wonderfully relaxing place to stay to watch the light paint the landscape in the morning and evening, and to connect with the clouds and stars. A quiet, well-maintained and well-equipped home with two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. There is a toilet on each level, shower upstairs and bath downstairs. View from every bedroom. Private from the owners, yet they are close to hand if needed. May include unexpected bonuses such as a welcome basket from your hosts and wallabies bounding past the porch. Well worth using as a base to explore Timaru and South Canterbury or as a time-out destination in itself. Will suit families, couples and artists. Thoroughly recommended.
