The Log Cabin ; A Unique 2 story 3 bedroom rustic,2 toilet nicely furnished home . 50 inch sky television also a huge stone open fire place which adds to the ambiance of this 1960s building.
The Barracks ; From yesteryear transformed & renovated into a comfortable open plan living area with its beautiful rimu
timber lined walls, sleeps up to 6 . Sky television
The Poolhouse :1 bedroom most recently renovated sleeps 4 people with a bed in the living room . Relax on your own deck by the pool.
Cambridge athletic grounds right next door if you fancy a run , walk or a game of cricket. Or Strawberry Fields Café on the other Boundary if you require breakfast : Coffee. or fresh fruit icecreams

Our extended family made use of this charming home for our Christmas vacation. It was everything we could have hoped for for a large group needing both space for when we were all together, and privacy for when we wanted time to ourselves in our own quarters. The place is very practical, with ovens in the Villa and Log Cabin, and washing machines in each of the separate accommodations. The location is also fantastic - Cambridge is a beautiful town with several cafes, a countdown and nice parks. Owner very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely return!

I stayed in The Villa with a group of 8 friends for a weekend while we played in a squash tournament. The Villa was a fabulous place to stay, the pool was amazing and the house was well stocked with everything you could need and in such a beautiful setting. There was plenty of room for everyone, loads of beds and 2 big bathrooms. The photos don't do it justice - great value for money, we have already re-booked for a weekend for next year.

The houses were fantastic - perfect for what we required, definitely recommend to anyone - and we will return when our Netball team comes back to play in the Waikato. The pool is handy and the sports field right next store for the athletic type. Close to the township - and very hospitable hosts!!!!!! A+++

We stayed here for 6 weeks when returning to NZ to live and felt we couldn't have chosen better. Brett and Paula are excellent hosts who work hard to ensure everyone's stay is a good one. The facilities are excellent - the children loved the pool and the trampoline and for me the kitchen facilities and clothes washing facilites made it very easy to self cater over the longer period of time we were there. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

It will be beneficial for larger groups to have more bathroom facilities .

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Log Cabin. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable, with plenty of room. It was very convenient to the centre of Cambridge, yet far enough away to be quiet. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden eating our BBQ dinner, supplemented with herbs and veges generously offered to us by Brett from the garden. Highly recommended !

Cool Cafe next door - the house is clean and homely and only a 10-15min walk into town. Quiet setting and off the road and has pool access.

The cottage was clean, tidy & homely. We would come back in a heart beat.

Make sure you view this property before you book it. The listing says it is next to a popular cafe but does not mention that it shares a common interior wall with it. This results in constant noise while the cafe is open. The property is also only metres from SH1.

The dryer, the bathroom heater, and the oven did not work at all. The cooktop did not get hot enough to use. There were no light fittings, just bare bulbs. The smoke alarm in the hall had been removed (but there was one in the lounge). The bath taps had been installed DIY-style.

The ad says it sleeps 6, but the dining furniture consists of a one metre square folding table and three cheap folding chairs. The bedroom furniture is very old and daggy.

The location and appearance do not lend themselves to any sort of holiday ambience at all, but it is clean and central.

The oven & stove have a knob on the cooktop which is a timer if you had tried tuning that on you would have found it would have worked fine. We were not aware the smoke alarm had been removed by the previous customers
We find your coments about our furnishings & layout quite offensive as we try to keep this home cosy & practical.
On Departure you were asked if everything was ok during your 4 day stay, you replied fine.
Over the past two & haif years we would have had over 100 happy customers & repeat customers thru our accomadation at "cambridge holiday homes" If only you had let as know you were unhappy there, or that something was a problem we could have rectified it ,relocated you into 1 of our other holiday homes on the same proberty or offered you a refund.
