About this Holiday House

Just across the road from the beach with wide views over the bay, this house is equipped to give the whole family, including mum, a wonderful relaxing holiday. Large area for games and fencing to keep the littlies safe, with shade trees to lie under with a book.

Special Amenities

Double and single kayaks and life jackets available. The beach is swimmable at all stages of the tide. There are lots of rock-pools to explore around the island and in the little cove next along. There is a boat ramp on to the beach for launching medium size boats. Larger boats need to launch at Tutukaka. 10 minutes to basic shopping and 30 minutes to Whangarei. While we ask people to bring their own linen, we can help with this for overseas and inter-island bookings at a charge of $15 per person. Please bear in mind that the third bedroom is a cabin outside the back door and is not suitable for children under 8 years of age.

There are six other beaches close by: Pacific Bay 1km, Kowharewa Bay 2 km (water-sking lane), Church Bay 3km, Matapouri 10km, Whale Bay 12km (access by clifftop walkway to beautiful shady beach with crystal clear water), Woolleys Bay 13km and Sandy Bay 15km (surfing). Deep sea fishing and scuba diving trips to the Poor Knights are available from Tutukaka Harbour 4km.

What a fabulous spot and place to stay! We loved our week here. The bach was clean and well organised. Our children enjoyed the games and books available as well as the kayaks. Thank you so much Anne.

TWO DAY MINIMUM AT TIMES OUTSIDE PEAK PERIOD AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
Payments: For bookings made more than six weeks before commencement of booking period, 30% of total rental is required as deposit. If booking is made within six weeks of commencement of booking period, payment of full rental would be required to secure booking.
CANCELLATION: In event of cancellation, payments will not be refunded if we cannot re-let the complete period at the same rate per night.
Damage bond: $300 bond required with balance of rental six weeks before tenancy starts. Bond will be refunded as long as the property is left in a smoke-free, clean, tidy and undamaged state at end of rental.
N.B Maximum of six people on entire property - no tents, camper-vans or caravans.
