Turangi has so much to offer the visitor. The scenery in the region is spectacular. If you are not there to ski, you are spoilt for choice with stunning walking tracks, both on the mountain and off, the Tongariro river, and of course the lake itself. The Trout Hatchery just a few km's south of Turangi is an outstanding tourist attraction, well worth a visit. The Visitors Information Centre in the main Street is full of great holiday ideas. Turangi shopping centre has some great shops. Check out Julie's for great womens clothing.

Great little cottage. It ,has everything you need.,

I loved it here. Stayed for a work week. Place is quiet and calming. Enjoyed very much my time here. Easy access to the cottage. 3 bedrooms although I only used one. The separate toilet is good for families. Has everything you need to turn up and live. The neighborhood is absolutely quiet like NO NOISE AT ALL. I would happily stay here again.
