About this Holiday House

This cosy, classic kiwi bach is sunny and comfortable and is only a 4 minute stroll through a forest track to the surf beach. It has a sheltered deck and courtyard area with an adjacent fenced backyard for badminton or volleyball. There is a large reserve just across the road and it is 3 minutes walk from tennis courts, flying fox, kid’s playground, local store and take-away.

The bach has a new kitchen with a gas hob and microwave. The lounge has a TV, DVD player, stereo and an “electric fire” for the cooler evenings. The bathroom is modern and spacious. There is a bunkroom for kids adjacent to the main bedroom and a 3 seater sofa in the lounge.

River, beach and forest walks. Swimming at patrolled (summer months only) beach, surfing, windsurfing, tennis, mountain-biking, fishing, white baiting (in season) and kayaking. Only 30 minutes drive to Christchurch city centre, 10 minutes to Rangiora township, 5 minutes to Pegasus golf course and township, 15 minutes to Waipara vineyards, 55 minutes to Hanmer Springs. Bus service to and from Christchurch. Local store, Post Office and take-away.

Beautiful bach so close to the beach. Bach had everything and was very cosy, hosts very considerate and helpful. Would definitely come back to stay some time

Lovely bach, very well set up with everything we needed, great for kids and so close to the beach. Very kind owners who made the special trip out to let us in at such short notice. Highly recommend.

This is the second time we have used the Bach and, again, found it to be very clean and tidy. This time there were four of us instead of my husband and I. I was concerned it may not have accommodated us adequately but, it did. All the amenities work well and we did not want for anything. I would highly recommend any one wanting to stay, to do so. We will return again.
