Fleur Cottage is truly charming. It has a calm, laid back and homely feeling to it. The cottage has been lovingly decorated with flair and style and a nod towards its vintage roots. Plenty of space and enjoyable easy walk to the various sights, stores and eateries of Akaroa. Loved the fact the Garden of Tane was only a short walk away too. Great communication from the owner - to who I'd like to thank for opening their home for others to share.

We were fortunate enough to stay here for a one-night romantic getaway and were absolutely blown away by the romantic and old-world feel of this cottage. Beautifully renovated and furnished with a beautiful, private garden. Easy walk to the shops or the Garden of Tane through to the lighthouse if you feel like, I cannot speak more highly of this place if you are looking for somewhere special. Plenty of beds for a family to stay also.

This is our third stay at Fleur Cottage, this time for a night during mid December.... We hadn't been for a few years and were so happy to find it the same ... beautiful, timeless, clean and ready to relax and enjoy. Especially love sleeping in the top room with the window in front of the bed that you can open and gaze at the stars and over the cheery trees to the bay. It's a very romantic setting and we felt extremely blessed to have been accommodated by such a lovely host. Thanks again for such a special memory.

Wonderful little quiet cottage in stunning Akaroa!. We had a great time relaxing in the garden that was so nice and cool on the hot summer days. Valerie went the extra mile for our family given we hired the cottage for a long duration which was great. We also had the yacht out sailing within walking distance of the beach and found plenty of Crayfish diving around the coast. Some great cafes and walks to enjoy too! Awesome little holiday break for the family, just what we needed

This georgeous historic cottage, was like transporting myself back to Grandmas. Clean, neat and tidy. The vases of peony roses in the kitchen and lounge were a lovely welcome. Just the place for the R&R we needed. A wonderful aray of reading material to choose from. We did not sleep upstairs but the view of the harbour from up there made it a pleasant spot to have a cuppa tea from. The small private garden was delightful and the mild weather enabled us to eat outside under the Cherry trees.Even a friendly neighbourhood cat came visiting. We did not need to use the car as it was an easy walk to the wharf and shopping area.close by. A delightful relaxing property... thankyou.

We booked to stay here early December for 5 nights. This was a very special trip with friends from Australia. We were so disappointed to find the cottage unclean and smelly to the point that we could not stay. We are not particularly fussy people who regularly camp etc however the condition of the cottage was unacceptable. I had prepaid in full as instructed and was only refunded the last two nights costs despite advising the owners immediately. Completely unsatisfactory for a property being marketed as a holiday home.

Such a gorgeous cottage. Very inviting and clean. The beds are very comfortable, and it is so close to everything yet I think one of the best things about this cottage is the amazing private garden, which although the section is smallish, is actually very roomy. A glorious space to be in with a few friends and a good wine, or own your own with a good book - plenty to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here and this is one contact I'm keeping for next time. Thanks so much....

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend...the historic cottage is absolutely beautiful and decorated tastefully enhancing the quaint country cottage feel. We were hoping to find somewhere to relax and we definitely got it...it may be only a 5 minute walk from the waterfront but somehow you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The courtyard and garden is lavished with blossom and pear trees, making it a romantic spot for a good glass of wine in the evening!
I would recommend this beautiful cottage for anybody looking for a romantic get away or just some simple R&R!
10/10 couldnt fault anything!

How could one fault such a comfortable cottage, with the bonus of a spectacular cherry tree arbour in full blossom to sit under on a fine spring day. We had a lovely stay - very glad we ignored the recent earthquake and came anyway.

A lovely comfortable home for a special anniversary time, with many interesting features in the house and a wonderful garden. A kereru even perched on a garden tree while we were sitting outside !

The roses were in full bloom everywhere in Akaroa at the beginning of December, including the white hedge in front of the house.

I can recommend the walks - Ngaio Point Coastal track & Cemetery. Leaflets $1 each at the info centre.
The Lighthouse was very interesting especially with the info given by the volunteers.
