About this Holiday House

Set in a quiet tranquil bay 40min drive from Christchurch is this 3-bedroom (inc Bach/Sleepout out back) waterfront holiday home in Purau. Located just past Diamond Harbour. Enjoy the expansive views of the bay, Lyttleton Harbour and the surrounding Banks Peninsula hills from the deck and windows. Beach is just a hop skip and a jump across the road from front gate. A perfect place to relax and chill out from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Special Amenities

Spectacular views of the Bay and surrounding hills. Amazing front deck that provides all day sun with Bay views. Beautiful maintained front lawn. Just cross the road to access the beach. Kayaks available for use. Private back deck for some privacy or shelter. BBQ area set out the back surrounded by a wee garden. Plenty of outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy the quiet and fresh sea air. Outdoor games available for use. Separate kiwana Bach with shower and toilet attached to back deck for extra sleeping arrangements.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Enjoy a dip or kayak in the quiet and calm bay situated right on our doorstep. For the keen paddlers Ripapa Island is about 15-20min paddle. A quiet and small playground for the kids about 50m up the road. About 2km away is the Diamond Harbour cafe and Black Cat Diamond Harbour/Lyttleton Ferry. Stock up with food/drinks/petrol at the 4square supermarket and NPD petrol station 4km in Church Bay. A round of Golf at the historical Orton Bradley park with a cafe in Church Bay about 10min drive, also some lovley walks and a playground for the kids. About a 20min drive up Port Levy Road is the lovely Port Levy. Enjoy the many walks the area has on offer. The boat ramp is just down the road for the boating enthusiasts.

Amazing new house, WOW! Fantastic new facilities and everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. So many great seating spots to enjoy the stunning water view or take a moment of time out! We had 2 young girls with us and felt very safe and loads of games on hand to help entertain them. Bit young for kayaks, but several of those there for use. Hosts were amazing to deal with and thank you for the welcome pressies! Would love to return again some day ;-)

This is a lovely place to stay- peaceful location right on the water. The house is very well set up and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. Enjoyed a kayak in the bay and just sitting watching the boats go by. Great to be able to bring our small dog too. Highly recommended.
