About this Holiday House

The ‘Kiwi Bach’ is the original building at 308 Main Road, built by the Corywright family’s daughter Patsy and her husband Maurice Minnell as their holiday home in the 1950s until ownership passed onto Craig and Jan Collier in the early 1990s. The bach is located behind our home on the same property. Sheltered from road noise, the bach is surrounded by our garden. While you are visiting us, we would like you to enjoy the atmosphere of yesterday that the kiwi Bach offers and enjoy your stay with us. We ask that you respect your surroundings and leave the Bach in the condition that you find it. Ideal for the WINTER ESCAPE to the Coromandel. Equipped with air pump, flannelette sheets and electric blankets. Your pet is welcome on request with owners

Special Amenities

Many visitors make Tairua their last stay over in NZ as we are only a 1 hour and 48 minutes drive to the Auckland airport. Its a place where you can stay, relax and play. Family groups, couples and singles are welcome. Off street parking for car, boat, motorbikes and bicycles get to share our garage. We have two small fox terriers on the property who are always happy to make themselves known. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at our Kiwi Bach. Hosts are both golfers so we always have a spare set of clubs and trundler available. Ideal 19th hole location.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Within easy walk to the local shops, restaurants, golf course and safe swimming. Tairua has great walks around the estuary and throughout the town. Mt Paku is here to be climbed. Maori legend has it if you stand on top of Mt Paku you will return to our beautiful Tairua within 7 Years. A 20 minute drive to Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. A great locate to explore the Coromandel from.

Great location & nice views. Kitchen was really well stocked with all the equipment needed to prepare meals. Wifi was a bit patchy.

Nice and pretty house, the owner is around and nice. The only backside is about some spiderwebs in the corners
