About this Holiday House
Please note for New Years bookings you must ENQUIRE first before booking as we have different requirements for this period. The maximum number of adults accepted for this property is 4.
Set at the end of a long drive amongst mature bush is this secluded slice of Magical Mangawhai paradise. The three bedroom cottage has been lovingly refurbished to capture the essence of beach holidays and the 180 degree estuary and ocean views are quite simply stunning. With decks on both sides of the house and large bi-folds there is great indoor/outdoor flow and plenty of options whatever the weather. There is also direct access to the estuary down a formed bush track with 150 steps to ensure you get your daily does of exercise.
With two double kayaks available on request (don't worry they are stored at the bottom of the track!), explore the estuary and the huge sand dune a couple of hours either side of the high tide. NB:Please advise if you wish to use so we can make the life jackets, seats and paddles available. Or alternatively laze on the deck with a good book and/or a cold drink. Watch the colours change on the estuary and dunes as the tides ebb and flow and the sun rises and sets over this picture postcard view.
For entertainment this property also now has a 55 inch SMART TV and soundbar.
The property is also in a great location for everything Mangawhai Heads has to offer, within walking distance to the golf course, Mangawhai Activity Zone, shops and cafes and only a short drive to the surf beach.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms it is suitable for a small family and friends/grandparents or a couple of mature couples. This is truly a great place to relax and unwind even when Mangawhai is at its busiest.
Mangawhai is the perfect summer holiday destination or coastal retreat. With its beautiful swimming and surf beaches and abundant marine life, Mangawhai is a popular spot for sailing, fishing, surfing, diving and summer family fun. The clear waters of the estuary provide safe family swimming, and the secluded white sand beaches of Te Arai and Pakiri are a short drive away.
Enjoy the vibrant art and cafe scene, local farmers market and the famous Bennetts Chocolate Shop. Soak up the natural beauty of this slice of coastal paradise, beachcombing, bush walking or just relaxing in a comfy chair with a glass of something cool.
