About this Holiday House

Mountain View on the Haven is a lovely large house with space for all the family. Located in a quiet area, but very close to Kaikoura town. This large house has a home from home feel with spacious living areas such as kitchen, lounge which make it easy for get together and catch up with friends and family. The master bedroom has ensuite, with plenty of space for family and friends in the other four bedrooms. The logburner is great for those cold nights and the location quiet and peaceful. Kaikoura town is just a short walk away. Payment by internet banking or credit card. Clean included. 2 NIGHT BOOKINGS ONLY All bookings require your cc details presented to KKHH to secure your bond before check in. Things to do in Kaikoura from fishing, swimming, diving, mountain biking trails, horse riding, hiking, kayaking, surfing, skiing and cafe culture - the list is endless! 'Perfect Location' is absolutely true of this property and was the only highlight. We found the property to be dirty and not just from the previous occupants, the grime was long standing. When we went to make our beds with the linen supplied we found the sheets to be 100% Polyester, hunting further through the cupboards we found a pair of cotton sheets one of which we needed to wash before use. The towels were old and threadbare. This property is run down and in need of some TLC, that aside if it had have been clean we would have enjoyed our stay. I have used the Holiday Houses website for many years and have had wonderful experiences every other time.

Thank you for your review. We are deeply disappointed to hear your holiday house was not up to a high standard of cleanliness. We have forwarded this onto our housekeeping department. We are a little confused with your linen problem as we use a Christchurch commercial linen provider which every hotel, motel and many holiday houses use. To date we have not had a problem with the quality of linen they hire out. Once again, please accept our heartfelt apologies your house was not up to standard. We hope you none the less enjoyed your time in Kaikoura.
