If you still require more space for the kids to run around, just a block away is Pioneer Park and a school playground. Don't feel like cooking? A 30 second walk away you will find a number of cafes and restaurants; sushi, Thai, Indian, pizza, Subway, kebabs, KFC- take your pick. Need a morning pick-me-up? Head to The Side Walk Cafe or Tin Goose for a coffee, and The Monteiths Bar and Restaurant is also a stones throw away. Also within walking distance is the Clutha and Manuherikia Rivers, where you can enjoy the great biking and walking tracks.
