Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Naseby is a small historic town with plenty of activities. Originally a gold mining settlement named Parkers, historic Naseby nestles in the foothills of the Mt Ida Range in Central Otago. While the town can be very hot during summer, in winter it is the ice skating and curling capital of New Zealand. A commercial outdoor rink and luge operates from June to August. You can also skate on natural ice at the Centennial Pond. Other local attractions include golf, hiking, extensive mountain bike trails and fishing for trout at the dam. The Central Otago Rail Trail is only a few kilometres away passing through Ranfurly which is approximately 15km from Naseby.

Jacqueline
Really lovely accommodation, well set up and very tidy. Close to everything (not unusual for Naseby, of course!), warm and comfortable. It was nice to stay somewhere a bit different.
ALANA
Loved our stay here. Very quaint, quiet and tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable night. The heater kept the house nice and warm and it was great having games/puzzle options for the kids.
