Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Naseby is a small historic town with plenty of activities. Originally a gold mining settlement named Parkers, historic Naseby nestles in the foothills of the Mt Ida Range in Central Otago. While the town can be very hot during summer, in winter it is the ice skating and curling capital of New Zealand. A commercial outdoor rink and luge operates from June to August. You can also skate on natural ice at the Centennial Pond. Other local attractions include golf, hiking, extensive mountain bike trails and fishing for trout at the dam. The Central Otago Rail Trail is only a few kilometres away passing through Ranfurly which is approximately 15km from Naseby.

Lovely stay, I’ll be back. Loved the bath and the special touches. The owners were very kind giving us the use of the house last minute for Easter. Great location close to biking tracks, pub, and water race. Definitely a must stay if you enjoy heritage buildings tastefully renovated
