About this Holiday House

Historic Cottage on Coastal Farm. Only 30 minutes from Blenheim Together with your favourite people, we invite you to base yourself at the historic cottage on our scenic Marlborough sheep and cattle station. Longpoint delivers you the features of a Farmstay, plus the privacy and comfort of your own self-catering accommodation. Your cottage is a, 1860’s villa, tucked away across the paddock from the farm owners, yet close enough to see the comings and goings of the farm and to step outside and enjoy some of the many activities on your doorstep. The Cottage sleeps up to twelve people. It’s perfect for family getaways or groups of friends. Whether you’re interested in outdoor activities like day walks, mountain biking or horse trekking (byo horse), simple relaxation like swimming and enjoying the farm activities, you’re going to love it here. You can also just use the cottage as your base and do your own thing. Just beyond the farm gate there are plenty of other things to do in the area, including several walks, visiting Yealands CarboNZero winery or the Lake Grassmere Salt Works and Cape Campbell Lighthouse. We’re just 35 minutes drive from Blenheim for a wine trail, or 1 hour to Kaikoura for whale watching (make sure you visit the baby seals at Ohau point on your way).

Nice house for summer.

A rustic place to stay, with the basic necessities. Great fire. A pleasant setting except for the incessant barking of the dogs which just did not stop during the day. It ruined late afternoon sitting on the deck. Close to a great beach, perfect for wandering. Good day trip to Kaikoura.
Response from Owner
Hello Terry's group I feel so awful that you were barraged with the incessant barking of dogs. The residents in the other near by houses were away for Easter so no one was there to give a whistle, extra exercise and farm work. At least you have been able to make us aware of this for future guests, thank you. Our apologies. Kind regards, Carol
