This was a great house for our large family - plenty of sleeping options and extra living spaces and having 3 fridges was perfect. Although the indoor outdoor flow was not that good, this was more than made up for by the proximity to the beach and the nice outlook from the second storey windows. We noted that a previous review said that the internet reception was poor, but we found it to be good. The owners have been lovely to deal with.

Great place to stay for large families. Four spacious bedrooms with flexible arrangements possible in the two bunk rooms. We overflowed into the back yard with tents and a campervan. Fully fenced which was great for young children and dog. Three fridges was a godsend when you first arrive with so much food! The ping pong table (which doubled as a dining table) was a great hit. There were many tournaments held into the night. Freeview TV was all we needed - hardly watched it though - too many other things to do. No wifi and poor reception for cell phones was a bit of an issue but many of us were happy to ignore our devices for a while. Just a walk down to the beach rectified the problem and the area around the dairy and pub had very strong reception. Free wifi in the pub. An easy walk down to Taylors Bay beach where the evening sunsets were amazing! Great neighbourhood, very friendly residents, who gave us the lowdown on rubbish collections. They took our large black bags fortunately as the local green bags are small and cost $5! Recycling was an issue till we found a notice in the dairy about a truck that came over the Xmas/New Year holiday period to a farm on the way to Mahanga 8 - 10am. Polly was good to deal with overall.

Fantastic holiday house, really big for multiple families. Really well set up, would love to stay again . The owners an absolute pleasure to deal with .
