About this Holiday House

This is a one room Cabin fully insulated, with a Queen bed. The kitchen area combines as a lounge also and is 'glamping' a experience. Under cover but not insulated... an Inside /Outside space. There is a toilet and shower hut. The whole space is private with its own pathway to the road. parking is a layby off the road just below the cabin. PETS ARE WELCOME ! No boats because of water restrictions and no parking for one. No Smoking in Cabin .

Special Amenities

Wonderful views of the ocean, estuary and lagoon. Three minutes stroll to the sea /sand dunes. Lovely coastal walks where you are able to pick mussels for dinner at low tide off the rocks. Safe swimming and sea sports. Fishing and boating . Close to Kerikeri and other sightseeing 'musts' eg. Kauri forests and hot mineral springs. cottage garden surrounds the deck and Kiwi's have their natural habitat in the vicinity.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

20 minutes to Kerikeri for cafes and restaurants and supermarkets. There is a great Farmers Market every Saturday in Kerikeri at the Packhouse. This has a cafe open all week. Go to Paihia for a more cosmopolitan beach scene , fantastic places to dine and access from there to scenic boat trips and ferry across to Russell where the earlier settlers came to first. Kerikeri offers the Stone Store and Mission house where the first missionary settled in NZ. We have Kauri forests nearby and an hours drive can take you to see Tane Mahuta , our giant Kauri tree. A 15 drive from the beach brings you to Marsden Cross where you can enjoy a stroll to the beach and read all about the first settlers here. A 'Must' to do. Head North on the main rd and see our beautiful Northland beaches and explore the Lighthouse at Cape Reinga ....a great day trip.

Thanks Mark for your lovely comments. So glad it was all ok for you .....wish the weather could have been kinder tho'. I couldn't get out to meet you because I was babysitting 3 other grandchildren but I asked Kate, another daughter to say 'hi' for me. She seemed to think all was ok.
