Just 8 mins drive from Matakana Village up the Tawharanui Peninsula to the Matakana Coastal settlement of tranquil Campbells Beach, and only 45 mins from the City. You can hear the lapping of the sea just below you and the birdsong around you. A cosy waterfront cottage with a totally separate chalet style studio for another couple & or older kids with its own lounge & bathroom. A perfect spot for two OR two couples or a grown family. And you can bring the dog. The beach is just below, down a little bush track and steps, the boat launching ramp and playground are a few minutes walk down the road. You can walk to the tennis courts at Baddeley's Beach in the adjoining bay along the waterfront when the tide is down a bit. Stroll into this cottage and be charmed by the lush bush setting, the lovely foliage fringed window to the sea, the decks front and back to catch the sun, the bi-fold kitchen windows opening out to the seaward deck to serve the drinks and nibbles;the attractive décor and comfort. The Chalet also has a TV with DVD Along the road further, just minutes away, is the world renown Tawharanui Peninsular Reserve with stunning walks, and ocean beaches. Or surf & sunbath at Omaha Beach, just 12 minutes drive in the other direction. You are surrounded by water and beaches here. OBV vineyard is just up the road for a platter and a glass or two, or try one of the others in this great wine growing area. Cafes, well you are spoiled for choice. The movies at Matakana Village are a must with 3 boutique cinemas and there is mini-golf, real golf, and a host of attractions close by. You will pass the Matakana Country Park on the way here, not far from your cottage, the gateway to the peninsular, with its café, restaurant, gallery, and children’s playground. The markets there are a good alternative to the Matakana market on Saturday morning, but go to both. If all this is just too much just enjoy the tranquility of your seaside cottage, watch a little TV, read a book (heaps here), laze around. NB. Confirm bed configuration.
