Excellent central location. Cute, rustic, authentic cottage - not overdone or trying to be something it's not (tastefully done out, all the necessities) relatively basic facilities, but more than enough for our stay. We personally prefer our holiday houses to be "fit for purpose" rather than over the top (and costing too much). We had a fabulous weekend. Log fire not enough to heat the whole cottage in a wet Southerly, but there's ample column heaters provided too (thank goodness) so we were very comfortable. Nice garden for the kids too (when it's not wet). Akaroa is also much nicer in winter - less crowds!

We enjoyed our stay in Akaroa and having a rental that is pet friendly. Thanks For the money charged which is reasonably high for the quality of the accommodation, a better quality main bed would be a huge improvement.

Lovely little character cottage in fantastic location, minutes from the wharf. Kitchen a good size but limited cooking facilities - mini oven, microwave and small hob. Great garden and porch.
