About this Holiday House
The Heaney house at Whangamata is situated on one of the most desirable sites on the main beach. It is a Cape Cod style house just beyond the surf club patrolled area with spectacular views of the islands, main bay and beach.
The house was originally constructed in the 1960s and designed by the then prominent architect, Bob Heaney, as his own beach house. It is one of the few properties left on the beach front that has not been subdivided. The house was substantially refurbished in 2012 and is finished to an extremely high standard while maintaining the original Cape Cod style. It has four separate bedrooms as well as a family rumpus room away from the main living area which also has beds. The two principal living areas of the house are divided by the modern laundry and bathroom. The house features decks which are suitable for all weather use. A fenced patio area provides a sheltered area with a view down the beach to compliment the undercover deck at the front of the house.
Without doubt this is one of the nicest holiday properties in Whangamata and enjoyed by all who stay there.
