Located right on the beach, listen to the waves lapping on the beach in front and the surf pounding on the ocean beach across the estuary. Only 25 minutes from Whangarei city it offers lovely clear, calm water in the estuary suitable for all ages. Take the time to climb Pataua Mountain and enjoy the magnificent views, scramble around the rocks at low tide or take a short stroll to a choice of two magnificent surf beaches great for boogey boarding or surfing. Each unit is fully self contained Unit One sleeps 4 in a queen bed and 2 single bunk beds and Unit Two sleeps 5 with a queen bed and a double bunk on bottom with single above, which is a great option offering privacy for families and friends who want holidays together but require their own space. The units have full facilities including TV in 1 unit, microwave, CD player, BBQ and kayaks. Come along and enjoy the magic of Pataua South. Fabulous spot for young families with safe swimming and warm shallow water at low tide right outside the front doors. Family orientated spot. Shop open in Treasure Island camping ground in January peak season selling fresh bread and takeaways ( 2 mins walk). Grocery store 10 mins away at Parua Bay. Great snorkeling, surfing, boogey boarding, diving and fishing. Good local boat ramp two mins from the bach. Pets welcome to stay outside by request. We prefer bookings for both units but if available we can rent x 1 unit on special request for rate to be discussed.
