An absolutely beautiful and cosy cottage. The shower was amazing, as was the cosy bedding, and living area. Perfect for a rainy day. We will be going back for sure!

Rose Cottage is the cutest wee cottage with the best view!! We absolutely loved it! It was cute, cosy, warm, clean and had everything (and more) that we needed for our 2 nights stay. We really appreciated the small touches that were unexpected like the binoculars, the wee torch with the red cellophane for Kiwi Spotting, the telescope and the cool wee radio. The bed was super comfy and the shower was awesome. The diesel fire warmed us up perfectly. The cottage is literally a 3 minute walk to town. I took a million photos of Halfmoon Bay from the cottage including 2 beautiful sunrises! This was our first visit to Stewart Island and we certainly were not disappointed with the Island or Rose Cottage! We will 100% be going back and will 100% be staying at Rose Cottage again (but for more than 2 nights next time)! It is PERFECT! Thanks Lynne and Fi for making our stay so wonderful!!
