About this Holiday House

Booklovers has three rooms with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms. Two rooms have an extra single bed (so one queen and one single in each). The prices are 120 single occupancy, 140 double occupancy and 160 triple occupancy of one room. Or you can have all three rooms at 280 per night - with potential total of 8 people - eg three couples and two children. Minimum two-night booking. The price includes basic breakfast: granola, tinned fruit, yoghurt, Vogel's toast and spreads. Use the kitchen if you wish to cook. It is easily walkable to Courtenay Place, Te Papa and downtown Wellington. But you can also take a bus - the no 2 bus - through Courtenay Place, past Cable Car Lane, the (but also has buses at the gate) and is adjacent to bush walking tracks of the city's green belt. Ten minute walk to Courtenay Place; 15 minutes to Te Papa/National Museum. In summer season (September to April inclusive) Booklovers is a full scale bed and breakfast with full/cooked breakfast. In winter, there's a self-serve Continental breakfast. OR in winter (May to August inclusive) you can rent the whole house at 440 NZD per night - including self-serve Continental breakfast: using four bedrooms (three of them with ensuite bathroom and one with private bathroom).

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Walk down Pirie Street, among Victorian and Edwardian houses to Courtenay Place with dozens of restaurants and bars, Bats Theatre and the Embassy Theatre. On to Te Papa/national museum, Circa Theatre and along the waterfront. Or go straight down Pirie Street, past a small dairy, to the Hop Garden bar and restaurant and on to Moore Wilsons for fresh produce. That's downhill. Uphill, is a park and the city's green belt. You can walk through to Oriental Bay one way and the south coast the other. Or to the lookout at the top.
